AZPM Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 - October 15) recognizes the generations of Latinx people who have positively influenced and enriched society and the nation.

Hispanic HeritageMonth recognizes the contributions and influence of Hispanic Americans to the history, culture, and achievements of the United States. AZPM will share resources, highlights, podcasts, and original programming in the coming weeks.

PBS highlights include include AMERICAN MASTERS and VOCES “Julia Alvarez: A Life Reimagined,” VOCES “American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos,” the 37TH HISPANIC HERITAGE AWARDS, the Premiere of PBS’s Second Primetime Spanish-Language Drama, VELVET, and new episodes of ALMA’S WAY and more on PBS KIDS. As part of this year's Latino Heritage Month festivities, NPR will spotlight the diverse world of Latin music with the return of El Tiny and new episodes from the Alt.Latino podcast. More information about this NPR special series can be found at azpm.org/heritage.
