HOLLYWOOD at HOME Film Series Launches on PBS-HD Channel 6 with The Thin Man Uninterrupted Classic Hit Films Each Saturday Night at 9 p.m. Starting September 24th

Tucson, Ariz. - August 29, 2011– What are you doing on Saturday nights? Starting September 24th break out the popcorn and your favorite beverage, sit back and watch The Thin Man, the debut film of the Hollywood at Home series exclusively on PBS-HD Channel 6<

Each Saturday night at 9 p.m. PBS-HD Channel 6 will air a classic hit film completely uninterrupted! Hollywood at Home is a significant collection of movies showcasing the works of innumerable major stars and includes many films never before seen on public television. From classics like Marilyn Monroe in Bus Stop and Audrey Hepburn in The Nun's Story to modern favorites like Sigourney Weaver in Aliens and Paul Newman in Cool Hand Luke, viewers can enjoy an exciting array of memorable performances. The Hollywood at Home series includes more than 100 major films spanning from the 1930’s through 2008, including; Key Largo (1948), Annie Get Your Gun (1950), ), Some Like it Hot (1959), Bullitt (1968), One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (1975), Dressed to Kill (1980) and Platoon (1986) to name a few. This series has been fully funded by the current members of Arizona Public Media.

Upcoming films scheduled through October: After the Thin Man (1936), October 1st at 9 p.m.

The Music Man (1962), October 8th at 9 p.m.

Annie Get Your Gun (1950), October 15th at 9 p.m.

The Nun’s Story (1959), October 22nd at 9 p.m.

A Shot in the Dark (1964), October 29th at 9 p.m.
