For a complete list of programs visit azpm.org.

There are three feature highlights of the month beginning with Latino Americans. This six-part series tells the story of early settlement, conquest and immigration; of tradition and reinvention; of anguish and celebration; and of the gradual construction of a new American identity from diverse sources that connects and empowers millions of people today. The series covers the 1500s to the present day.

Life on the Line: Coming of Age between Nations follows a year in the life of 11 year-old Kimberly Torrez to see what it's like living between two worlds. She lives steps from the border in Nogales, Mexico and crosses over each day to attend school in Arizona. Her family is on the edge, but Kimberly is holding it together and soaring at a school that is used to teaching "transfronterizos" (people who cross the border daily.)

Border Patrol agents, Native Americans, smugglers, ranchers, retirees and samaritans form a constellation of people engaged with the Arizona/Mexico border on a daily basis -- policing it, inhabiting it, crossing it, working it, making it safer or simply feeling its consequences. But at the center of it all is the migrant. Independent Lens: The Undocumented tells the story of the migrants who die while trying to cross an unforgiving desert in search of a better life.
