Brandon Mejia is a Tucson native and graduate of the University of Arizona Journalism School. Brandon is no stranger to AZPM, having interned in the newsroom during his senior year at UA. He produced in-depth stories on issues that directly affect the community and was the first intern to appear on Metro Week and Arizona Week programs on the PBS affiliate. As a news and public affairs reporter for Arizona Public Media, Brandon follows politics and public policy issues in the city and throughout the region. Brandon's stories appear on azpm.org and can be heard throughout the day on NPR 89.1.
The proud "Wildcat for Life" is a 2012 graduate of Mountain View High School who spent years performing in various theatrical productions. His theatre arts background taught him to treat the radio and camera like a stage, reaching out to the viewers on the other side.
