Abraham Cooper joined Arizona Public Media in 2022 with a decade of administrative experience in hotel management, and more than twenty years as a professional videographer. A native son of Tucson, Abraham earned certificates in field archaeology from Pima Community College and is majoring in Anthropology at the University of Arizona, with a focus on Southwestern history and folklore; specifically how incipient events evolve into legends over time. His research has been published in Zocalo Magazine and was featured on Untold Arizona, a radio series produced by the Fronteras Desk Project. He has also given television interviews (Univision), as well as public lectures on these subjects.
