Student Employment

Jumpstart your career and gain hands-on experience in media, journalism, and business

Why work at AZPM?

AZPM employs between 20 and 30 University of Arizona student-employees every year. These students gain hands-on experience with the ability to work in a variety of departments such as: Television & Radio Production, Administration & Business Office, Marketing & Communications, Membership & Development, Broadcast Engineering, and Information Technology.

Many of these students remain employed with AZPM for the duration of their collegiate years. Several of our student employees have gone on to successful careers in media and journalism after graduation, with some even being hired full-time by AZPM.

Preference for our student positions will be given to Sophomore and Junior applicants. This is to allow AZPM more time to work with our students to develop their skills.

AZPM does not required a student to be a Media Arts Major to apply, there are opportunities to learn and develop skills for any willing student.

Because AZPM offers student positions in different departments, job responsibilities vary greatly. There are opportunities to work on accounting processes with our business office, or with our production team. Some students work in our front desk area with volunteers and take on administrative projects, while others elect to work with our Marketing & Communication team. AZPM encourages students from all majors to apply; however, below are expectations that apply to all our student employees.
