Özlem Özgür is an award-winning documentary filmmaker and is the Arts and Culture producer for Arizona Illustrated. With a background in painting, printmaking, and installation, her work has been shown nationally and internationally. She has also taught courses in film editing, cinematography, and post-production, as well as philosophy.
Özlem earned a Ph.D. in Geography at the University of Arizona, an MFA in Film from the San Francisco Art Institute, and an MA in Philosophy from Stanford University. She received two Emmys, four Silver Telly Awards, and an Impact Docs Excellence award. In her leisure time, she paints, gardens, cooks Turkish food, and goes for walks with her dog.
