Free Screenings of OSIRIS-REx: Countdown to Launch

Four open screenings, September 22 at Gallagher Theater

OSIRIS-REX Countdown to Launch hero "OSIRIS-REx: Countdown to Launch" is an in- depth look at the science and scientists behind OSIRIS-REx …the University of Arizona based mission to send a spacecraft to an asteroid, collect a sample, then return that sample to earth.

On Friday, September 22, Arizona Public Media is hosting four open screenings of its original documentary production OSIRIS REx: Countdown to Launch at Gallagher Theater in the UA Memorial Student Union.

Screenings are at 10:45 am; 11:30 am; 12:15 pm and 1:00 pm

This event is FREE and open to the public. No advanced registration required.


Also on September 22, AZPM's original, Emmy-nominated OSIRIS REx: Countdown to Launch will air on public television stations around the country, including PBS 6. The half-hour documentary tells the story of the scientists and engineers behind the University of Arizona's historic asteroid return sample mission. The program's broadcast coincides with the mission's gravity assist maneuver when the Earth’s gravity will slingshot the OSIRIS-REx spacecraft toward the asteroid Bennu.
