National Walk to School Day

Educating children about pedestrian safety.

AZPM and Clifford participate in National Walk to School Day at Whitmore and Robison Elementaries

Arizona Public Media and Clifford the Big Red Dog joined Safe Kids Pima County, led by Tucson Medical Center for National Walk to School Day in October to promote child pedestrian safety in the community.

AZPM and Clifford joined students at Whitmore Elementary on October 3 and Robison Elementary on October 17. Since 1999, Safe Kids Walk This Way and FedEx teamed together to celebrate International Walk to School Day. This year Scholastic, Safe Kids Worldwide, and FedEx collaborated to create Clifford Takes a Walk which was read and distributed to participants from both schools.
