In March and April AZPM hosted a trio of community screenings of "Won’t You Be My Neighbor?"
Earlier this spring, AZPM presented three community screenings of the acclaimed documentary “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” at Sam Lena and Ecktrom-Columbus libraries, then in partnership with The Loft Cinema and Ben's Bells, hosted an outdoor screening at Himmel Park where hundreds enjoyed the film under the stars.
For more than thirty years, American children grew up watching Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood on PBS. Mister Rogers offered a calm and stable presence, tackling life’s weightiest issues in a simple, direct way. Won’t You Be My Neighbor reflects on Fred Rogers’ legacy of kindness, and the profound and lasting effect his innovative approach to television had on millions of children.
