Bisbee '17 Watch Party

Audiences were invited to view the national broadcast of the critically acclaimed film at the Bisbee Royale.

Bisbee ’17 Watch Party.

POV and Arizona Public Media hosted a watch party for the national PBS broadcast of the critically-acclaimed film Bisbee ’17 at the Bisbee Royale on July 15.

Radically combining documentary and scripted elements, the film follows several members of the close-knit community in Bisbee, Arizona, a former mining town, as they commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Bisbee Deportation, when 1,200 immigrant miners were violently taken from their homes by a deputized force, shipped to the desert on cattle cars, and left to die.
