Community Gathering: Celebrating Culture/Unpacking Stereotypes.

This free event at the Arizona State Museum on September 21 featured talks, mini-workshops, and dialogue circles around topics of race, identity, stereotypes, bias, reclaiming identity/symbols, healing/resilience, and celebrating culture. Topics and presentations are multicultural and reflect diverse identity groups. Highlights also included cultural performances, hands-on art activities, and games. Teachers earned professional development hours for attending and received classroom resources from PBS LearningMedia. AZPM shared resources from PBS Kids about inclusivity and culture.
