AZPM presents Death Behind Bars screening and discussion

Arizona Illustrated producer John DeSoto, AZPM News reporter Hannah Cree, and AZ Luminaria reporter John Washington recently participated in a screening and discussion of the AZPM Original Production Death Behind Bars. The panel was moderated by AZPM News director, Christopher Conover.

Death Behind Bars delves into the systemic failures within the criminal justice system and uncovers the human stories behind the statistics.

Since 2018, 58 lives have been lost inside Pima County Jail, spotlighting a crisis that demands urgent attention. This investigative story follows AZ Luminaria journalist John Washington as he explores the profound impact of incarceration, shedding light on the hidden realities and personal struggles of those affected.
