Underwriting Specifications

Online Advertising

Dimensions and guidelines for online advertising submissions for use on AZPM.org. Ads will scale based on browser size and device, so may appear larger or smaller than the resolution indicated.

Requirements

• Banner ads must be in PNG, JPEG, or GIF format
• Must be 250k file size or smaller
• May not include inflammatory, obscene, or pornographic imagery
• We use Google Analytics tracking by default. If another campaign system is desired, please include the required tracking code along with your link submission

Dimensions

• Large Rectangle - 672px wide x 672px tall (these generally appear as 500 x 500px on most devices)
• Leaderboard - 728px wide x 90px tall

Television Underwriting

The following is a guideline of style/tone and preferred artwork specifications for underwriting creds. Please inquire if you have artwork or video in a format not listed below, as not all workable specs are listed.

Style & Tone

• "Value neutral" is a guiding rule when producing underwriting credits
• Overall character and effect must keep with the noncommercial nature of public broadcasting
• Some elements to avoid
• Qualitative, promotional, comparative, superlative language
• Pronouns like "you, your and you're"
• Calls to action ("More information is available at ... " is permissible. "Call us now!" is not allowed.)
• Price or value information
• Awards, endorsements, rankings, ratings

Logos

• RGB or CMYK - Please include PMS numbers for Pantone colors
• Adobe Illustrator Format - EPS, PDF, or AI
• The High Definition TV screen is 1920 pixels wide x 1080 pixels high at 72 dpi
• Please include all fonts or convert fonts to outlines. If fonts have been converted to outline please include the name of the typeface for reference. If you want a specific typeface used, please include the font.

Photographs & Art

• RGB or CMYK - Please include PMS numbers for Pantone colors
• If Adobe Illustrator - EPS, PDF, or AI
• If Adobe Photoshop - JPEG, PDF, or PSD (layered document if possible)
• Other formats - TIFF or PNG

Video

• HD Video can be delivered as hi-res files - MOV, MP4, MKV, or M4V
• VHS tapes, standard DVD video, low resolution JPEG, and WMV files are not broadcast quality and are not acceptable

Media Delivery

• Dropbox, BOX, or other online distribution
• Files on CD, DVD, thumb drive or external hard drive
• FTP upload (contact us for login information)
