Burt Schneider

Burt Schneider is the former afternoon host on NPR 89.1. He received a bachelor’s degree in radio-TV from Boston University where he was an announcer on WBUR and WGBH-TV back in the day of the French Chef. He earned a graduate degree in journalism from the University of Arizona after his service in the US Navy where he was officer in charge of Armed Forces Network Taiwan. Burt started in radio as a high school student working at Tucson’s first classical music station. He is pleased to be a weekend host on Classical 90.5 and substitute announcer on NPR 89.1.
