Chris Homer

Chris Homer is a broadcast professional within public media. Chris has spent over 40 years in television and radio engineering and operations for terrestrial and satellite broadcast media, post-production and studio operations.

He currently works as Chief Engineer for Arizona Public Media supporting facilities across southern Arizona. Prior to joining AZPM in 2021 he held leadership positions at Nebraska Public Media and PBS in Arlington VA. Before joining public television Chris worked in Los Angeles, CA for DIRECTV, Univision’s KMEX TV and Fox Television.

Chris has a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and served in the United States Navy as an avionics technician. He has served on the Board of Directors for the Advanced Television Standards Committee (ATSC), Board of Directors for the Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) and is currently chair of the ATSC 3.0 Specialist Group S34 on Applications. He is an active member of SMPTE, SBE and IEEE Broadcast Television Society.
