Carina Mendoza

Originally from Las Cruces, New Mexico, Carina moved to Tucson in 2021. She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in Human Rights.

Carina’s background includes outreach and event work with the Community Foundation of Southern New Mexico, where she had the opportunity to support local impact initiatives. She recently worked with the Thomas D. Boyer Liver Institute at the University of Arizona’s College of Medicine where she helped expand hepatitis C testing and liver health outreach across Southern Arizona.

Outside of work, Carina is a big Harry Potter fan (currently on her third re-read of the series!), and a cat mom to a mischievous black cat named Dobby. And while she’ll always be loyal to her New Mexican roots, she still can’t decide if she loves red or green chile more.
