Cheryl S Gerken is a former bilingual educator and school librarian with a Spanish BA from Indiana University and an MA in Language, Reading and Culture from the University of Arizona. She joined Arizona Public Media in 2018 and enjoys the opportunities that her position as Educational Outreach Coordinator provide in the community: working with children, teens, and families as well as educators and others who work with children. She is an enthusiastic advocate for science education and literacy and volunteers with a variety of organizations to support educational efforts.
