Jorg Mauelshagen was born in Wuppertal, Germany and arrived in Tucson after living in Central America and New York City in 2002. With a lifelong interest in music he started producing and hosting radio shows at KXCI 91.3 Community Radio shortly after his arrival. He joined the team at Arizona Public Media in 2010 as a host for Classical 90.5 and NPR 89.1. Jorg continues as a volunteer programmer at KXCI and enjoys gardening, motorcycles and exploring the surrounding Sonoran Desert.
