Originally from Long Beach, California, Melissa moved to Tucson in 2014 where she fell in love with the city and surrounding region. She previously worked as a social media assistant and event planner but found an interest in fundraising and nonprofits through her work with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona. She is finishing her degree in Literacy, Learning, and Leadership.

Melissa is passionate about Arizona Public Media's vision and values and is excited to bring her many years of fundraising experience to this fantastic setting
